Financial Services

Atlas possesses a portfolio of various private and public lending institutions which can support financing based on the project or a company's creditworthiness. We also contract with financial consultants specializing in nontraditional funding, especially where cash flow or balance sheets won't qualify for direct loans.

Asset-Based Lending
(Capital or Operating)

Leasing is any lending secured by an asset. This means if the loan is not repaid, the support is taken. In this sense, a mortgage is an example of an asset-based loan. More commonly, however, the phrase describes lending to businesses and large corporations using assets not typically used in other loans. Typically, the different types of asset-based loans include accounts receivable financing, inventory financing, equipment financing, or real estate financing. Asset-based lending, in this more specific sense, is possible only in certain countries whose legal systems allow borrowers to pledge such assets to lenders as collateral for loans (through the creation of enforceable security interests).

Power Purchase Agreement

A power purchase agreement (PPA) allows a third-party developer/installer to own and operate an energy system on customer property. The customer can then purchase the platform at the end of the term. A PPA allows the customer to receive stable, affordable energy with no upfront cost. Atlas can provide PPA in USD or multiple LATAM currencies, given the risk appetite. Customers can also take advantage of tax credits and defer operational risk to the PPA holder.

Rentals

Atlas suppliers have in-house rental programs for customers who may not qualify for private PPA or asset-based lending. Rental terms are typically five to seven years with a buyout. Atlas can help facilitate direct rental arrangements with vendors.

Foreign Exchange

Atlas works with multinational companies that require foreign exchange (FX) services to address payroll, project expenditures, or vendor payments executed in that country’s national currency.

We provide:

We can also conduct an FX study on how much interest a company pays in FX banking services.

Our understanding of energy extends to a host country’s currency. In addition, we provide FX consulting expertise on how a currency will react against the US dollar or any other major currency.

Atlas supports maquiladoras and offshore companies outside of the United States with payroll, capital expenditures, permit payments, and third-party fees paid in the country’s national currency.

Our FX specialists can secure:

Many defer their FX business to their primary bank, but Atlas can provide an interbank rate without the premiums that most primary banks charge. In some cases, this rate is 2%.
